Collectors Circle

The Collectors Circle is a Ghanaian platform for aspiring collectors of African art and antiquities. We are a dynamic group of both emerging and established collectors who share a strong interest in art and supporting Accra’s role as a growing arts capital of West Africa. We can help you build a great collection while increasing your investment. We have several artists right now that fit this context. Membership gifts support Untamed Empire’s core artists in residency program including the Artist Lab Residency that focuses on emerging West African-based artists. Whether you are an art collector, enthusiast or want to learn more about art, this group is for you!

Becoming A Collector:

Emerging Collector ($120 for dual benefits for individuals aged 35 and younger with a $10 per month payment in 12 installments offer)
Collectors at this level are entitled to invitations to Special events and studio visits at homes of private collectors, day trips and excursions to selected art fairs around the region with first access to programs of ours and partners which include reserved tickets and advance notice and a 10% discount on ONE artwork purchase through UNTAMED EMPIRE Acknowledgement in selected donor recognition materials.

Young Patron ($150 for individual benefits)

This level entitles collector to same benefits as the Emerging Collector with a 5% discount on single artwork purchases as well through acknowledgement.

Contemporary Collector ($200 for dual benefits)

Collectors at this level are entitled to invitations to Special events and studio visits at homes of private collectors, day trips and excursions to selected art fairs around the region with first access to programs of ours and partners which include reserved tickets and advance notice and also 5% discount on artwork purchases courtesy UNTAMED EMPIRE acknowledgement in selected donor recognition in which anonymity can be maintained by request.

Supporting Collector ($800 for dual benefits)

Individual consultation to help you build your collection or a critique of your own artwork with UE experts, studio visits and special events at the homes of private collector invites, two complimentary Chale Wote Tour tickets and a curated POST experience that highlights Philadelphia’s best and brightest talent. Day trips and excursions to selected art fairs and collections around the region and first access to UE programs, including reserved tickets and advance notice with a 5% discount on ALL artwork purchases through UNTAMED EMPIRE Acknowledgement in selected donor recognition materials. While it’s individual package offers $80 for an individual 35 and younger with similar benefits.

Connoisseur Collector ($1,000 for dual benefits)

This collector level comes with a full season of 11 Collectors Circle invites with private collection visits, artist studio tours, UE’s Gala Auction Preview Party and the annual Collectors Circle trip, consultations and critiques of personal artworks to help build your collections artwork with Untamed Empire partner experts, also with exclusive signed and numbered archival artist pigment artist print from an UE Visual Artist Fellow or alumni. Studio visits and special events invite to the home of private collectors, Two complimentary tickets to the Chale Wote Street art Tour, a curated experience that highlights Africa’s best and brightest talent, Day trips and excursions to selected art fairs and collections around the region and first access to UNTAMED EMPIRE programs with reserved tickets, advance notice and also 10% discount on a Custom Exhibition for your home or office, 5% discount on ALL artwork purchases through Untamed Empire Acknowledgement in selected donor recognition materials.

Annual Membership is by invite and recommendation only and starts at $80 (GH₵ 240) which can be fulfilled through a one-time gift or through a monthly automatic payment as low as $12 per month. Members can also elect to join as a sustaining member to have their membership automatically renewed each year.

Applying for membership on the Collectors Circle is a contribution to the growth of art through a series of social, educational and philanthropic events held at the Museum and throughout Accra each year.
